Out in the Sweet Fields, new crops have been growing at enormous rates! As you may recall, a few months ago we received new seeds for Wildcandies as a gift from the Sweet Party members in Ghana, which when blossomed it would feature a large assortment of candy. Since planted, thousands of blooms have sprung up, such as pear lollipops, Sugar Daddies, Smarties, and other goodies! We may have enough crops this season to last us for up to five years, as estimated by crop growers. This is great, as the dreaded Sour Party had not watered their land for over ten years and let plants wither away until they were gone! There was no food for their people except for defenseless animals and manufactured “faux-crops,” such as rubber chicken and plastic broccoli. They did not even serve candy, and if they did it was a pricey import that few bought since even this candy was fake!
These new crops will not only help feed our people and lead to more food distributed at our state-of-the-art soup kitchens, but also means more variety in food for our award-winning chefs. More candy creations can be made and served at our five-star restaurants, as well as to everyone else. And this surplus of crops will be so large that our food containing garages will be overflowing! This means we will be able to create more trade business. Within the next few weeks we hope to start construction on a trade hub at the northern end of the Sweet River. This hub will be finished by October 2023, just before the holiday shopping rush begins. For groundbreaking updates and construction news, please continue reading the blog and our Twitter feed.
